STYLE: Leather & Neon

Outfit Post

Hi friends!

When I was asked to do some style tips for my Style GF feature I wanted to show that you shouldn't be afraid of mixing different elements such as leather and neon together in an outfit. Fashion is all about having fun and playing around with different styles that you never thought could go together!

Here's a look where I added pops of neon yellow to a simple LBD that has touches of leather:

Outfit Details:
Dress: Mr Price

What do you think of the leather and neon look?

STYLE: Nude Accessories

Outfit Post

Hi friends!

Today's style post is all about one of my style tips that I shared with Style GF - nude accessories. You can never go wrong with adding a nude clutch to an outfit or a tan pair of heels.

I bought this leopard print scarf 4 years ago in Australia and to this day it's still one of my favourite scarves - it's so soft and goes with any outfit! Plus, who doesn't love a bit of leopard print right?  Rose Gold jewellery also compliments nude accessories so well.

It's easy to transition this look from day to night by just adding a bit of a darker smokey eye. Now you're ready to rock day or night, summer or winter by just incorporating a few key accessories! Soon I'll be featuring a tan pair of wedges that I live in for summer.

What nude accessories do you have in your wardrobe?

I was so excited to share some of my fashion tips and had a great time putting the outfits together. Here are my top three looks from the feature, if you'd like to see the rest and read a bit more about me - click on this link

Would you like to see some style posts on these outfits with some more photos?
I'd love to know which one is your favourite <3

STYLE: A Glimpse into My Style

Be Free With Your Style

Hi beautiful friends!

Before I realised that I wanted to save the world and have green super powers, I thought I would grow up to be a fashion designer. When I was younger, I used to spend hours designing the perfect evening gowns that could be worn on the red carpet. As a Visual Studies graduate, being creative through my art work; photography; my words as well as my clothing choices has always been important to me.

A few weeks ago Style GF, a mobi-magazine that focuses on fashion, beauty, bloggers, celebrities and is accessible through your phone, contacted me and asked if I wanted to share some of my style tips. While The Glam Green Girl has always been focused on beauty and lifestyle, I jumped at the opportunity to have some fun with my closet and share what makes fashion so fun for me.

Here's my "Blog in Style" feature for Issue 17 - you can check it out here

To elaborate on what I'm was saying as my style tip, my style changes everyday. One day I'll rock the sporty look, the next day the bohemian look, the next day the glamorous look etc. To me that's what fashion is about, it's about playing dress up every day.

To add my own twist to this beautiful dress (I've had it for a while, it's one of those that you can use for almost any occassion) I added a turban ~ those that know me or follow me on instagram know how much I love hats, beanies, turbans, flower crowns etc!

I shopped my own closet to create the different looks that I'll be featuring soon - green fashion tip: Instead of buying new clothes all the time, shop your friends closet or your parents, I love some of my mom's cool items and have even claimed one of my dad's jerseys!

Outfit details:
Dress (was from a few years ago): YDE (support local designers)
Black Turban: Pick n Pay
Black Flower Crown: Lovisa

Styling: Cassidy Taylor-Memmory
Hair & Make Up: Cassidy Taylor-Memmory

In the next few weeks I'll be sharing some outfit posts as well as my style tips - I'm excited and I hope you are too! Let me know your thoughts, is this something you'd like to see on my blog?

Love always, The Glam Green Girl xXx
