Some New NYX Make-Up I'm Testing Out...

Hi Beauties!

Last month I took advantage of the amazing Beauty Fair at Clicks and spoilt myself to some fabulous NYX goodies. They had a special where if you spent R250, you got a free set of lipglosses! I've been wanting to try some NYX make-up and this was the perfect excuse. 

The reason why I had been wanting to try out NYX is that they are cruelty free! You will notice on all of their packaging they proudly (and with good reason) state they are cruelty free. It's hard to find affordable natural make up here in South Africa, so I feel that by choosing cruelty free make up, it's a step in the right direction

I purchased the Strawberry Milk Lipstick and the Parisian Chic eyeshadow palette and then walked off with 5 nude lippies *winning*!

I've been looking for a pale pink lipstick for spring and summer and while I swatched it on my hand Strawberry Milk seemed like a good shade, when I put it on at home it was much, much lighter than I expected but it's actually grown on me. Pair it with a neutral eye and you're set for a summers day! 

When choosing new eyeshadows, I usually stick to shades of browns, golds & bronze colours to suit my blue eyes. This Parisian Chic palette is perfect for creating a subtle day look or a dark smokey eye for at night and I've been having fun with the different shades. 

Now for the fun part.. the lippies!

I first took note of the NYX Butter Gloss's when I saw Pink Peonies mentioned them on this video. So naturally it was the first lipgloss I tried out. Ah.. it really does feel like it just melts on your lips. I love this Creme Brulee shade as I usually wear nude lip colours - it's definitely one if my favourites and these NYX Butter Gloss's are going to be becoming one of my staple lipglosses I think!

This is my second favourite gloss from NYX, the Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Perfect and has found it's new permanent home in my handbag. It's a nude with a bit of a pink tint so it's perfect for everyday. 

This Xtreme Shine Lip Cream in Natural is a gorgeous nude liquid lipstick that gives you great colour with a shine.

Hand ups if loving the tingling feeling from lip plumping glosses? Well this Pump It Up Lip Plumper does exactly that, plus the Kim shade is a neutral colour that you can wear with everything - pucker up girls!

I'm still deciding how I feel about this colour as well as the texture of this Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp but I think it will be a fun colour for those summer weekends spent out and about with friends.

So there you have it, my thoughts on my new NYX make-up - I'll let you know if I change my mind about any of them but I highly doubt as I've been loving everything so far! 

PS: these lipglosses are super hydrating!

PPS: How cute is the packaging for the eyeshadow palette and the Mega Shine Lip Gloss? I love bows!
