[BEAUTY]: New Make Up in January

I popped into Dis-Chem the other day as I needed a new foundation and picked up these three make up items, because who can go into a store and only buy one make up item?

While checking out the stand, the All Matt Plus foundation caught my eye. I don't have oily skin, but a soft, velvety, matt make up look is one which I always try to achieve so I thought this foundation would be ideal. I purchased the shade 020 Nude Beige which is quite fair, I do think I can go one shade darker but with some added help from my bronzer it's working well for summer and will be the perfect shade for winter. It's light weight; long-lasting and applies with a soft touch. The only thing that I'm not a fan of is the coverage as it doesn't really offer what I was hoping. Other than that, its well priced at R114.95 and is available at Dis-Chem.

The next Catrice product I bought was the Glam & Doll Volume Mascara. The brush of this mascara is what convinced me to buy it as it was developed to create the 'doll eye' look. I'm on the fence about this mascara, it offers volume but not great length. That being said, I usually don't like many mascaras straight away and find I need to test them out for a few weeks before giving my final verdict. So look out for that one!

This mascara retails for R69.99 at Dis-Chem.

Lastly, I managed to bag the Physicians Formula Multi-Coloured Pressed Powder in Creamy Natural which is for fair to light skin on sale! I've searched the Dis-Chem site as well as the Physicians Formula websites but can't seem to find this product as I think they've discontinued selling it. This powder has great pigment and works well for my skin tone, I'm so pleased I found it but now I hope I can find a similar one if they no longer sell it.

Let me know if you have any suggestions on some new make up I should try out? Cruelty free obviously :P

[REVIEW]: Physicians Formula Nude Wear

Nude Wear from Physicians Formula

Before I give you my thoughts on these two products from the Nude Wear Collection from Physicians Formula, can we take a moment to appreciate the beautiful package! Well done to Physicians Formula, it's so pretty! I'm a sucker for rose gold so I didn't even want to use these products, but rather just stare at them.

Alas, I am a beauty fanatic, so we all knew that wasn't going to last long.

This Touch of Glow stick is a concealer; highlighter and touch-up tool. It's Hypoallergenic; Fragrance-Free; Paraben-Free; Gluten Free; Dermatologist Approved and Non-Comedogenic. I personally use it to add some more 'colour' to my fair skin but I wouldn't recommend it as a concealer as it does not give much coverage which is a bit disappointing. "Touch of Glow" is the perfect way to describe it on your skin though and I do enjoy the chubby stick application.

R179.00 from Dis-Chem.

This Glowing Nude Powder is amazing! It has a great pigment and works well on my fair skin. It can be can be used as an all over as a Highlighter, blush, powder or bronzer. I was so apprehensive to use it because look how pretty it is! It's now a regular in my make up routine! This product is also Hypoallergenic; Paraben Free; Gluten Free; Dermatologist approved; Non-Comedogenic and Fragrance Free.

R209.00 from Dis-Chem.

Have you tried any of the products from the Nude Wear range?

Love Always, The Glam Green Girl xXx

[REVIEW]: Physicians Formula Eyeliners

Shimmer Strips Eyeliner Trio Collection by Physicians Formula

Copper, bronze and black make up the trio of the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliners (wow quite a mouthful there). These warm, earth tones compliment any eye make up look as well as any eye colour.

These eyeliners are just a bit firmer than gel eyeliners in terms of application but this allows you to apply it in a more precise manner.

With a built in sharpener which is so handy, these eyeliners are smudge proof (yay for no-panda eyes). The packaging states it has a 24 hour wear but I haven't tested that as I'm a stickler for removing my make up.

I love the copper one for days when I want to emphasise my blue eyes; the bronze for a neutral day time look and the black for when I want to create a dramatic look for a night out.

These eyeliners are hypoallergenic; fragrance free; paraben free; gluten free and are safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers. Plus, Physicians Formula are cruelty free!

You can get this trio for R199.00 from Dis-Chem.

Have you tried any Physician Formula eyeliners yet?
