My Thoughts On The BIOeffect EGF Serum & Your Chance To Win!

Let me start this blog post with reasons why I have become such a fan of this serum:

[REVIEW]: L.A Girl Beauty Bricks

Nude, Smoky & Ultra Beauty Brick Eyeshadow Collection from L.A Girl

 



 

When Chicara from Lipgloss Kisses posted this photo on her instagram, I immediately went to go google if L.A Girl Cosmetics were cruelty-free. Turns out, they are cruelty-free and my obsession with these palettes could begin!

 

Most of us beauties have been dying to get our hands on the Urban Decay Naked 3 palettes, am I right? But unfortunately the close-to-R1000.00 price tag doesn't sit very well with me. So in my opinion and from other reviews I've read on the Nudes eyeshadow collection from L.A Girl - this is a pretty good dupe for the Naked 3 palette.

 

These palettes are available at Dis-chem for about R70.00 (I'm not too sure if the sale is still on, where they were selling for about R52.00?) I knew I had to get the Nudes palette but I could not resist getting the Smoky & Ultra ones too! Cruelty-free and affordable? Yes Please!

 

 

The Nudes palette has some gorgeous rose-gold toned shades. 3 are matte and 9 are shimmer, which is great for me because I prefer shimmer shades. This palatte is versatile in the sense that you can create a pretty pink/rose-gold look for in the day and then spice it up at night but adding a few of the darker colours. I've been looking for a palette with these shades so I love this one, plus it cost a tiny fraction of the Naked 3 palette!

 

 

While I love my bronze and gold shades to play up my blue eyes, every girl loves a smokey eye for a great night out! This Smoky palette comes with 3 matte and 9 shimmer shades as well. Apart from the darker brown/bronze shades, these shades all have a blue undertone which adds a great touch to a cool Smokey eye and works especially well with people who have brown or green eyes.

 

 

Did you know that no matter what eye colour you have, purple works great to empahsize your eye colour! When I saw that this palette had violet undertones I snatched up for those days that I want to steer away from the browns. What I also love about this Ultra beauty brick is that all the shades are shimmery *yay*. Plus it's easy to create both day and night time looks with these palettes.

REVIEW: Naturalmente Hair Care

Those of you that follow me on twitter will have by now noticed what a big fan I am of the green online store called Faithful To Nature - I can spend hours browsing their site and looking through all the amazing green products they offer from body care to household cleaning products! I usually order my coconut water and a lot of The Victorian Garden products for my mom and myself.

The reason I love Faithful To Nature so much is because of the amazing service I receive every time I order from them! They usually deliver within 2-3 business days and with each order I receive a hand written note on my invoice as well as small gifts (samples of what they sell). It's the small touches that they add to their orders that really makes a difference to me and keeps me coming back for more!

Recently Faithful To Nature got in touch with me and have offered my readers something very exciting! A fantastic hair care kit from Naturalmente worth R717.00 !!!

I'm currently testing out this range and so far I'm impressed!

Naturalmente Citrus Shampoo

This shampoo is exactly what it says, volumising and definitely smells like oranges to me. It's made with essential oils so it's great for moisturising your hair and revitalizing your hair follicles while massaging it into your scalp. 
It contains the following ingredients and these are their uses:
Orange Stimulates, tones the scalp
Lemon Stimulates, refreshing effect
Bergamot Balances, regenerates, deoderises
Chamomile Prevents allergies, soothing, calms muscles tension
Lavender Purifies scalp, heals, prevents hair loss
Soya Gives body, shine and manageability to hair

Naturalmente Fruit Acids Conditioner

This conditioner is described as a balm and it is quite thick. You're instructed to leave it one for 4-5 minutes so to me it seems more like a hair masque. You would think that it would weigh down your hair as it's thick and you need to leave it on for so long but it actually doesn't. It's lightweight and helps to detangle (yay for this as I hate having knotty hair). I will be honest and say that I'm not a huge fan of the scent, at first I loved it but while it was on my hair it reminded me too much of cough medicine, that cherry smelling one. It contains mint so you will feel a tiny bit of tingling sensation but this helps to calm itchiness and neautralise any infections on your scalp. It also contains Orange peel oil like the shampoo and this helps stimulate your scalp, which in turn helps stimulate healthy hair growth!

Naturalmente Miele

I was most impressed by this little bad boy. It takes you by surprise as I didn't really expect much from it to be completely honest. It's a restructing fluid that you apply to your towel dried hair. I applied it from mid length to the ends and this is perfect as it doesn't weigh down your hair but keeps the ends nice and healthy. After I blow dried my hair, it felt ah-ma-zing! Snaps for super soft hair! It contains honey which helps moisturise your hair and gives it texture.

A few weeks ago I was spoilt with a treatment from the fab Mint Laser & Beauty Spa in Woodhill, Pretoria. I've always wanted to try laser hair removal but had been a bit apprehensive as I thought it would be sore.

I had the underarm treatment and it literally lasted for 30 seconds per underarm! I felt zero pain only a bit of warmth. I felt a bit more heat under my right arm than I did under my left arm, funny how each side of your body is different!

You can have a treatment done every 4-6 weeks and I can already see such a difference after one session, I only have to shave every few days under my arms so I can imagine how amazing it will be after about 6 session when I no longer have to shave under my arms *does a happy dance*. I have really sensitive skin so I usually nick my skin when I shave but I had no bad reactions to the laser treatment!
