I received some of these cute My Jars from Consol to play around with and style and thought they would be perfect for the small birthday party I hosted at home a few weeks ago.

I'm a huge fan of glass as it's 100% recyclable and I think it just looks a bit classier.

GGG Tip: 5 Ways To Celebrate Earth Day 2014

On Tuesday the 22nd of April it's Earth Day! What is Earth Day all about you may ask? Back in 2012 I wrote a blog post on the history of Earth Day and some tips - go check it out :)

I don't want to overwhelm you with so many tips on going green that you get tired just reading them so here I'm going to give you 5 tips on how you can celebrate Earth Day by helping our beautiful planet, I have however linked them to other posts if you're looking for more information:

1. My fundamental rule of going green is learning your 3 R's 

RECYCLE
REUSE
REDUCE

2. Try and save water whenever you can! Here are some tips for you.

3. Switch off all unnecessary lights and electrical appliances - buy saving 1 KW of power, you are essentially saving 1.2 liters of water!

4. Try to switching your beauty products over to natural and organic products. Also, try and make a conscious decision to buy cruelty free products.

5. Offset your carbon footprint by donating to projects like Greenpop that plant trees

I'd love to hear what you're doing for Earth Day on Tuesday the 22nd? Even if you switch off your lights for an hour, you'll be helping! Let's try our best to make it a memorable Earth Day!

PS: one last tip, throw away your plastic water bottle (and by that I mean, throw it into your recycling bin) and switch over to glass bottles - they are so much healthier for you and 100 times better for the environment! I'm obsessed with my Consol Grip & Go bottles and use one everyday!

But what do I do with the bottle afterwards? I usually throw it away in my glass recycling bin but here's another cool idea - make upcycled drinking glasses!

Put your creative thinking cap on before you throw away that wine bottle, and by throw away, I obviously mean in the recycling bin.

REVIEW: Esse Gel Cleanser

Gel Cleanser from Esse

I was recently sent this gel cleanser by the fab ladies at Esse and was so excited to try it out! I'm a huge fan of their Eye Make-Up Remover so I was looking forward to testing their cleanser. 

First of all, I love the peppermint & spearmint oils - hello freshness! It's smells divine and leaves your skin feeling awakened and invigorated! It's one of the reasons why I love using it in the morning! It's also infused with Rooibos & Honeybush Extracts which have strong anti-oxidant properties. Another feature I love about this cleanser is that it foams, I've become so used to cream and oil cleansers that I forgot how good it felt to have a foaming cleanser. 

It doesn't leave your skin feeling dry after cleansing, which is a major factor for me with regards to facial cleansers.

Esse packages all their products in glass packaging which is so important! Glass packaging is much healthier and can be 100% recycled! 99% of the total ingredients are from natural origin and 71% of the total ingredients are from Organic Farming!

Choose Glass: Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

The Grip & Go Bottle for Consol's Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

If you follow me on twitter and you've seen some of the pictures I've tweeted you will notice that I usually have a Consol Grip & Go bottle with me. Whether it be when I go to yoga, when I'm driving around or just at my desk - I love these bottles! I've even bought all the colours for my family so we can all use the bottles each day.
