[REVIEW]: Beaucience Night Time Routine

Night Nourishing Cream & Eye Lifting Gel from Beaucience

In August, I reviewed two Beaucience products and mentioned to you guys that I wasn't the biggest fan of their cleansing gel and that the eye make up remover wasn't going to exactly be on the top of my 'must buy' list but I've added two new Beaucience products to my night time routine and must admit that I'm impressed!

Beaucience, is a proudly South African professional skin care brand that focuses on natural and organic ingredients and uses South African ingredients where possible, environmentally friendly packaging, recyclable glass and bio-degradable plastic. Yay for that!

I'm usually a bit hesitant when it comes to night creams as they are sometimes to rich for my skin, but this one seems to be agreeing with my skin. Made from Avocado oil, Marula oil, Hibiscus oil, Sunflower oil, Evening Primrose oil and Green Tea oil, this luxurious cream helps to rejuvenate your skin and keeps it nourished. I apply a small amount each evening and like I mentioned, it's working well for my skin.

This Night Nourishing Cream retails for R355.

This Eye Lifting Gel is amazing! It was the first thing I packed for the wedding I attended on the weekend. It's a hydrating gel that can be applied both mornings and evenings and helps repair and protect the delicate skin around your eyes. If you are like me and get those bags under your eyes from not sleeping well or allergies, this gel is what you need!

This Eye Lifting Gel retails for R480.

You can find out more information about the brand and their other products on their website.

[REVIEW]: Africology Body Range

Look Good & Feel Good with Africology

Africology is a South African brand that is natural; eco-friendly and holistic. It's a brand that I've heard lots about but only recently tried their products out. With summer around the corner, they sent me these products to help me look good and feel good. I enjoy the fact that Africology only uses natural ingredients that balance with your body bringing a holistic approach to your skincare. Plus, they are local!

This Slimming Detox Cream contains a blend of seaweed; ivy; horsetail; queen-meadow and biting clematis which apparently helps with the slimming and firming action of the cream. It also contains the essential oils of Juiper; Rosemary and Lemon Verbena, which creates a scent that makes you feel like you are in a spa environment. Caffeine and guarana extract help trigger your cells to burn fat.

I expected this detox cream to have a body butter consistency but it's a light cream that can be used both day and night. I prefer to use it at night after body brushing.

This product retails for R320.00

A natural shimmer in a body balm? This is created by mica minerals that create a natural shimmer and make you feel like you want to go head to a beach party! While this Renewal Body Glow Balm intensely hydrates your skin and gives you a glow with the shimmer, it's an everyday product in my books. I like to use a body balm when I got to bed so I can let my skin soak it up but the shimmer in this balms puts me off from doing that. Having said that though, now that the nights are getting longer, it's great for the summer parties! Plus, it has a divine floral scent!

This product retails for R500.00

For more information or to find out about their spas, go pop over to their website!

Which Africology products have you tried? I've heard great things about their serums!

[TRAVEL]: Sparkling Waters Hotel - Magaliesberg

Sparkling Waters Hotel & Spa - Magaliesberg, South Africa

Located in the heart of the Magaliesberg mountains, on the same premises as the Magaliesberg Canopy Tour , is the Sparkling Waters Hotel and Spa. Just a short trip from Gauteng, it's a getaway that is just around the corner.

Warm hospitality; a long list of activities to keep you busy and an award winning spa is what you will find at Sparkling Waters Hotel

Along with my brother who joined me for my Magaliesberg Canopy Tour, we spent the night at the hotel and enjoyed every minute. After we finished the Canopy Tour, Ryan and I had a few drinks at the pool and then indulged in a competitive game of mini golf. This was then followed by a session on the trampoline (I'm a real kid at heart when it comes to those) and then even hit the games room afterwards! Hey, this is what siblings do when we're away! After our day of ziplining; putt putt and games, we gorged ourselves on a delicious three course meal.

What I loved most about Sparkling Waters Hotel, was the amazing location, you are surrounded by such beautiful flora and the grounds are immaculately kept!

Below are some of my photos from our stay over:

For more information and prices, visit the Sparkling Waters Hotel website.
Thank you for the wonderful stay Sparkling Waters Hotel!

Have you visited Magaliesberg recently?

[ECO]: Magaliesberg Canopy Tour

Ziplining Through Magaliesberg with Canopy Tours South Africa

Terrifying; exhilarating; exciting; adrenaline charging; electrifying; thrilling and most certainly
nerve racking are the adjectives I would use to describe the Canopy Tour I recently did in Magaliesberg, South Africa.

I thought I was going to be brave and wasn't even nervous about it but once I got to the first platform, I thought to myself "What on earth did I sign myself up for".

Before I carry on babbling about my nerves, let me start from the beginning of my adventure. My brother and I drove to Magaliesberg and could not stop talking about how excited we were. Once we arrived at the Magaliesberg Canopy Tour, we were warmly greeted and went for a safety briefing. Every aspect of the tour was explained to us in detail and we were left feeling secure about our safely on the tour. While on the canopy tour, you are attached at all times, even while waiting on the platforms, and while you are zip lining, you are connected to 4 cables so there is zero chance of you falling.

Once you are kitted up in your harnesses, you take a quick 4x4 ride to the 2,400 million year old Magaliesberg Mountain and traverse through the Ysterhout Kloof (the second oldest range in the world). There are 11 platforms and you zig zag through the gorge.

After about the second zipline, I began to feel myself relax and appreciate the nature that I was observing. I took a moment to look around and even looked down, yes that's right, I looked down. I definitely wasn't as brave as my brother who pretty much wanted to go upside down he was having so much fun.

Our guides were Richard and Lucky who were absolutely fantastic! Not only did they make you feel completely safe and reassure you with every line, but they encouraged you and supported you with each platform. Throughout the canopy tour, our wonderful guides taught us so much about the mountain; ecology; bird and animal life. It was great to learn about the eco system of the Magaliesberg Mountains and encourages you to be more eco-conscious!

So what does one wear to a canopy tour? Comfy clothes (I chose leggings cause they the comfiest for me) and closed shoes (I wore my Nike trainers). Also, don't forget to apply lots of sunscreen as you are out there for about 2 hours in the sun!

Below are some photos of Ryan and I's experience:

There are Canopy Tours at the following locations:
Tsitiskamma
Karkloof
Magaliesberg
Magoebaskloof
Drakensberg
Swaziland

The next one on my list? Magoesbaskloof as you get to go past 3 waterfalls! How cool is that!

You can find more information at Canopy Tour Website.

Here's something exciting for those that are booking a tour in October - it's the #Ispysomethingwild competition! You can click here for more information. Go and enter now :P

A big thank you to MCT Footage Production Crew for the photos; Canopy Tour SA and Magaliesberg Canopy Tour for the experience and Sparkling Waters Hotel for the accommodation (a review on the hotel will be up soon) and Skye for putting this all together! I can't wait to do it again soon!

[STYLE]: Green & Gold #RWC2015

Outfit Post

The Rugby World Cup starts on Friday and can you tell how excited I am? I even dedicated a style post to it! While most people associate rugby shirts with those tiny white rugby shorts, I wanted to show you that you can dress it up - especially if you're going out with some friends to watch the matches.

Now if it wasn't obvious, I'm fully behind the boys in green and gold! South Africa is currently ranked as 3rd in the world and are in Pool B (you can check out the fixtures here).

ps: I know this isn't the official world cup shirt but it still shows my support for the Bokke!

Rugby Shirt: Total Sports
Pants: Pick n Pay
