[REVIEW]: REN Lip Balm

Vita Mineral Lip Balm from REN Skincare

So I posted this photo on my instagram on Monday but I actually wanted to tell you a bit more about this lip balm because it's become a beauty essential for me this winter.

A rich balm that consists of Shea butter; cocoa butter; beeswax; vitamin E; elements of calendula and acacia honey helps replenish dry and chapped lips. It's super nourishing and leaves your lips feeling soft and hydrated.

The slanted tip allows easy application and the best part is, it's easily absorbed.

It's R150 which is pricey for a lip balm but it's one that you'll keep with you at all times and I know you'll enjoy it just as much as me!

[STYLE]: Poncho Comfort

Outfit Post

What's better than a soft and warm poncho on a cold Sunday afternoon?

These past few days have been cold to say the least here in Pretoria so I decided to wrap up in this red and black poncho for a birthday lunch. A great pair of boots helps to add a bit of glamour to the outfit and while my brother did ask me if Pocahontas lent me that poncho (boys will never truly understand) I felt so warm and comfortable.

ps: the cute tassel bracelet I'm wearing is from Cotton On and supports the Coton On Foundation - fashion for a good cause is also a winner in my books plus I can never say no to a tassel!

[REVIEW]: Winter Lipsticks

A Few Lipstick Shades for Winter

As the weather gets colder, our lipstick shades get darker right? I love wearing dark plum lips during winter but sometimes a darker nude or pink is just as great.

These are a few of my lipsticks that I've been loving this winter season that are either natural with organic ingredients or cruelty free (stated below).

From left to right:

LA Girl "Romance" - cruelty free

Karen Murrell "Fuchsia Shock"  - natural and cruelty free

Essence "03 Come Naturally" - cruelty free

Zao "468" - natural and cruelty free

I've also added two Wet n Wild lipsticks to my winter lipstick collection which will be featured in a post new week! What do you guys think of darker lipstick shades? What is your favourite one to wear?

[REVIEW]: REN Hot Cloth Cleanser

Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser from REN

As many of my readers will know from my blog posts and YouTube videos, I'm a huge fan of REN and have loved every product that I've tested from them. This latest product is from their Rosa Centifolia range and is ideal for everyday cleansing use.

This Hot Cloth Cleanser is very similar to their Express Make-Up Remover in my opinion, but don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about that. If you read my post on that cleanser, you will read how much I loved it.

This is a two-phase cleanser in the sense that you open your pores with the hot cloth and then by rinsing your face with cool water, you close your pores. This cleanser decongests; purifies you skin and help removes your make up. Apply it to dry skin, massage it in to help remove make up and then place your cloth over your face for a few seconds (pretend you are at a spa) and then wipe off the cleanser. Rinse your face with cool water after as mentioned before.

This cleanser is great to use now in winter because a) you can use the hot cloth which just makes it so much more pleasant to clean your face and b) it's rich and creamy so will help hydrate your skin.

This cleanser retails for R330.00 and can be bought at Woolworths or online.

What are your thoughts on hot cloth cleansers?

[STYLE]: Ox Blood

Outfit Post

Ox blood; maroon; burgundy; marsala - I'm obsessed with them all. These colours plus black and grey are pretty much my colour palette each winter.

I had been searching for an affordable maroon hat and if you follow me on snapchat (username: glamgreengirl) you would have seen that I finally found one from Mr Price (I ordered it online). This waterfall cardigan is also a recent purchase from Mr Price. Can we talk about these boots? The bling on the toe and knee area adds just enough glamour.

I love this look for the weekend - casual yet still stylish. My dad said I looked like Stevie Nicks which I totally digged!

[STYLE]: Hooded Coat

Outfit Post

Give a good hood and I'm set! How amazing is this coat? Ok, ok, let me be honest with you though - it belongs to Mama Syl but she said I can borrow it ;)

I love the colour combination as you can wear it with anything plus the large hood gives the coat a cape vibe which is cool!

[STYLE]: Grey With A Pop

Outfit Post

I'll be honest with you, I've never really been much of a pencil skirt kind of girl. Sometimes they just seem too corporate for me, but I've decided to add them to my wardrobe as you can still add a trendy edge to them.

To style this outfit with more of a cool element, I incorporated my leather jacket. I love grey but wanted to add a pop of colour so it didn't look too dreary so I added this yellow statement bag.

What do you guys think of this look? I'm keeping an eye out for some new pencil skirts that catch my attention in the shops, let me know if you spot any good ones!
