[BEAUTY]: Red China Lipstick

"Red China" - Bodyography

"Red China", it might just be my perfect red lipstick!
Now, us girls know the struggle is real when trying to find a red lipstick that suits you. Should it be cool toned, warm toned? Can I wear it through all seasons?

Imagine finding a red lipstick that hydrates your lips? This is what the Bodyography Lipstick is like! The Aloe Vera based formula helps keep lips nourished and moisturised. It even smells good!

It has a great pigment yet is also easy to remove at the end of the day.

I wore this the other night and received so many compliments! Another great thing about the Bodyography brand is that they are cruelty-free; eco-conscious and their packaging is minimal and recyclable.

This lipstick retails for R230.00 and more info can be found here.

[REVIEW]: LA Girl Glazed Lip Paint

Glazed Lip Paints and Swatches from LA Girl

Like I've mentioned in previous LA Girl posts, this brand has become one of my favs! Too be honest though, these Glazed Lip Paints really caught my eye because they looked like dupes to the Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipsticks . I've never tried them, but the packaging looks the same (oh how I wish we had Too Faced in South Africa!)

These liquid lipsticks are highly pigmented and the colour stays the whole day (that's a huge bonus in my eyes). While these lip paints give you colour like you're applying a lipstick, it gives the glossy finish of a lipgloss.

Other then the pigmented glossy finish and staying power, another reason I've been enjoying these lip paints is the peppermint oil they contain. Gives your lips a cooling effect plus they have Vitamin E so it helps keep your lips nourished.

These Lip Paints have a tip applicator to help your apply them and are available at Dis-Chem. They only have about 6 colours available but I'm really hoping they bring in the nudes collection soon!

Below are the two colours I purchased, Bombshell & Blushing. Bombshell is a bit too vibrant for me (even though it does not really look like it in the photo), but I've really been enjoying wearing Blushing on days where I want a bit more colour (you guys know I love my nude lipsticks).

Which one is your favourite?
Have you bought any of these Lip Paints?

[REVIEW]: LA Girl Matte Pigment Gloss

Dreamy; Fantasy & Rebel from LA Girl Cosmetics

I've mentioned these glosses a few times on my snapchat (username: glamgreengirl) and even in this YouTube video - so here is a full review of these that I've been chatting nonstop about.

The LA Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss is less of a lipgloss and more of a liquid lipstick in my opinion. It creates a matte effect and have a slightly sticky feeling.

When they launched in South Africa, I took advantage of the special that Dis-Chem was having and bought 3 colours - Dreamy; Fantasy & Rebel.

I wore Rebel to the SA Beauty Blog awards as it made such a great statement colour for my outfit and I've tried to wear Fantasy a few times but it comes out as too much of a neon pink on my lips. My favourite and the one that I mentioned in my video, is Dreamy, I wear it nearly everyday!

I'm not too sure if Dis-Chem still stock these as they no longer have them at the hazeldean branch but they sold for R70.00 each and while I'm not the biggest fan of Fantasy and will save Rebel for nights out, I adore Dreamy!

Rose Tourmaline Lip Tint & Shimmer from Badger Balm

Imagine a super moisturising Cocoa Butter Lip Balm that is combined with natural minerals to create a lip tint and shimmer balm? This is exactly what Badger Balm have done!

This is the Rose Tourmaline Lip Tint & Shimmer  - one side is a sheer pink rose tint while the other side is an opal shimmer.

There are no added fragrances, flavours, petroleum products, GMOs, parabens or anything artificial. These Lip Tints & Shimmer balms are made from 94% organic ingredients. They are also made from Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Beeswax, Fair Trade Certified Cocoa Butter, Castor Oil, Aloe Vera. It also contains organic extracts of Seabuckthorn Berry, Rosehip and Rosemary - these ingredienst have antioxidants which help keep your lips nourished and soft.

There are three other tints you can also choose from - Copper; Garnet and Red Jasper.

What I love most about this product is that it hydrates my lips while adding either a sheer tint or a touch of shimmer - perfect for that everyday look or while you're on the go.

[REVIEW]: Vampy Wet n Wild Lipsticks

Cherry Bomb & Sugar Plum Fairy Lipstick from Wet n Wild

These two vampy Wet n Wild MegaLast Lipcolours have been a constant favourite of mine this winter. Cruelty-free and affordable, there's no excuse not to have them. Photographed here is the Cherry Bomb colour and Sugar Plum Fairy.

These lipsticks have a matte finish and can be a bit drying on your lips, I suggest wearing a lipbalm underneath or even topping it with a clear lip gloss.

The Cherry Bomb colour was a lot darker on my lips than I thought it would be and I'm still getting used to just how dark it is when I go out, I need to find a lip liner that matches it just to finish it off properly.

The Sugar Plum Fairy MegaLast Lipcolour had much more of a pink tone to it then the plum tone I expected. Having said that, I love how it looked on my lips and feel its a colour that can be worn during all seasons while I feel Cherry Bomb might be a bit more limited to the colder months.

Pictured below is me wearing Cherry Bomb in the first photo and Sugar Plum Fairy in the second photo.

These Wet n Wild MegaLast Lipcolors are about R45.00 from Clicks (TBC).

Which one if your favourite?

[REVIEW]: Karen Murrell Fuchsia Shock

07 Fuchsia Shock by Karen Murrell

Oh Karen Murrell, you really know how to steal my heart away.

This beauty is the latest addition to my Karen Murrell lipstick collection. It is the vibrant Fuchsia Shock shade that I wore in this FOTD post.

Made from natural and pure ingredients such as candelilla; evening primrose oil & castor oil and totally recyclable packaging!

This pink is similar to my beautiful Sugar Rush shade but has more of a blue tone to it and is more suitable for winter.

Head to the Infinity Skincare twitter page to find out where you can find Karen Murrell lipsticks.

[FOTD]: Makeup Look 01

Face Of The Day

So I thought it would be fun to start some FOTD (Face Of The Day) posts on my blog to show you the different make up looks I create day to day and what products I use. Similar to my YouTube videos but it'll will just be of my finished products not the whole routine.

Some of the products have been featured on my blog before so you can link on their links to read more about them.

Skin:
To start off, this weather in Pretoria has made my skin so dry so I use 3 drops of Balm Balm Little Miracle Rosehip Serum to prep my skin.

Face:

LA Girl Pro Conceal in Natural (under my eyes to help with my dark circles).

Physicians Formula Happy Booster Powder (on my cheeks)

Eyes:

LA Girl Eyeshaow Collection in Nudes - I used the fifth shade for my whole eyelid; the sixth shade on my outer eyelid and the first shade as my highlighter on the inner corner of my eye and brow bone.

Lashfood Conditioning Liquid Eyeliner on my top eyelid (will post a review on it soon).

Lips:

Karen Murrell Lipstick in 07 Fuchsia Shock (Review coming soon).

So what do you guys think of this post? Should I do more? Would love to know your thoughts!

[REVIEW]: Wet n Wild Lipstick

Pink Suga by Wet n Wild

First of all, I love affordable make-up and secondly, I love it when it's cruelty free! This lipstick is both as Wet n Wild is PETA certified *yay*.

This Pink Suga colour is actually more of a nude than a pink and leaves a semi-matte, crème like finish. It contains natural marine plant extracts that help hydrate the lip but in all honesty, I felt it really dried out my lips. It's not a lipstick you can apply just by itself - you either need to wear a lip balm underneath or a lip gloss over it.

Even though it isn't hydrating enough for me, I really love the nude shade as it works well with my fair skin.

Have you tried any of the Mega Last colours from Wet n Wild yet?

REVIEW: Conditioning Lip Colour

Conditioning Lip Colour in Pink from Juice Beauty

Hi beauties!

My first beauty review for 2015 is on one of my favourite organic beauty brands, Juice Beauty. Here is the link to the tinted moisturiser I reviewed last year and more about the brand.

I received this Conditioning Lip Colour as a birthday gift from Rubybox after I posted it on my birthday wishlist - lucky girl right? It's the perfect everyday colour!

The combination of anti-oxidant acai & goji berries; sweet orange; jojoba seed oil; organic sesame seed oil; organic beeswax and other oils leaves your lips feeling conditioned and nourished. No parabens; artificial dyes or fragrances or any other nasty ingredients means that not only will your lips look good after applying this lip colour but will also feel good as it's all natural!

A natural pink that's perfect for an everyday look!
